MA Fashion students created a Limited Edition Collection to coincide with the opening of lululemon’s Regent Street store
The celebrated Canadian sportswear brand set students a brief to create print designs for a capsule collection on the theme of ‘Into the Wilderness’. The selected works reflect the perfect imperfections of nature and were created using techniques such as paper cutting, magnifying, marbling, collage and photographic effects resulting in six stunning textile prints.
Concept Director, Anoosha Foroughi and her team then body mapped the designs through a digital printing technique to create customized prints for selected products.
Lee Holman, Creative Director for lululemon is an alumnus of the course and recognized the synergy with the brand ‘The students on CSM’s MA Fashion course share lululemon’s design led approach and passion for innovation, making them a natural partner for us to disrupt norms’.
The limited edition collection was unveiled at a high profile launch event at lululemon’s Regent Street Flagship store opening in January 2017.
It has been an incredible learning and experiential opportunity for our students to participate in the development of great design products and it has enabled the course to reach a wider and diverse audience through a directional artistic vision.
